Beginner Poi Spinning Course
Established since 2005, Perfect Circle Poi has been teaching Beginner, Intermediate and Fire Courses to a wide range of clients, from International Professional Fire Performers such as the renowned “Fuel Girls” to children and adults of all aspirations and abilities.
BEGINNER COURSE - TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES
The Beginner Course explores the basic poi moves including various circles forwards and backwards and reels in same and split time, carry turns, reel turns, pirouettes, stops, kicks, wraps, bounces, stalls, signature poi moves including inwards and outwards butterfly, butterfly turns, giant butterfly and extension moves, angel wings, shoulder reels, hip reels in same time and split time, forwards and backwards three beat weave, Giant, Extension, Lockouts (Flower transitions) and linking moves and turns through the weave and fountain, culminating in choreographic sequences and poi spinning performance techniques.
IF YOU KNOW JUST A FEW OF THESE MOVES (SEE ABOVE), IT IS BEST TO START WITH THE BEGINNER COURSE AND LEARN ALL THE BEGINNER TRICKS BEFORE MOVING ONTO THE INTERMEDIATE COURSE.
Classes are fun and dynamic and students leave the course with a solid understanding of poi spinning, choreography and linking moves.
Most Beginners are keen to start on the Advanced Fire Performance Course but in order to do Fire Spinning safely and successfully, students need to be able to perfect all the Beginner and Intermediate tricks first with practise poi - after completing these Courses, you can then move onto the Advanced Fire Performance Course and perform with Fire Poi and get your Firestarter ON!
Join us for a Beginner course! We promise it'll be a lot of fun! The Beginners Course leads to the Intermediate Course and then onto Fire Flaming Fun with the Advanced Fire Course!

Dates - Saturday Afternoons May 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th 2024 (Limited Places Available)
Time - 1.15pm - 3.15pm (8 hour Course over Four weeks - 2 hours per class per week)
Venue - Clapham Common
Course Fee - £120.00 (Maximum 10 Students per Course)
