Mandy Clark

Founder, Perfect Circle Poi

Mandy Clark studied Acting and Drama teaching at Queensland University of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Education (Drama) in 1995. She then became Head of the Performing Arts Department as a specialist in Dance and Drama at various high schools around Australia. In 1998, Mandy studied Contemporary and Classical Dance at the University of Western Sydney, graduating before her class in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts (Contemporary Dance). Upon moving to London after graduation, she taught Dance and Drama extensively throughout the UK at a variety of primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities as well as consulting and teaching at a school for autistic students in London and working as a freelance choreographer, dancer, actor and performer in a variety of shows and festivals in both the UK and Australia. Mandy discovered the magic and dangerous joy of Fire Dancing at Woodford Festival on New Years Eve 2002/2003 with the performance of Dave Knox (from Flame Oz) and began teaching Poi Spinning under the tutelage of Dave Knox, teaching for Apex Poi Courses in London before establishing her own company, Perfect Circle Poi.
